“The Last Horizons” marks a triumphant comeback for Alien Orchestra, a band that merges heavy metal intensity with cinematic orchestration, crafting a sound both grand and deeply human. The single features guest performances from Mats Haugen (Circus Maximus) on lead guitar and Simen Sandnes (Evergrey, Temic, Shining) on drums, bringing exceptional musicianship and dynamic range to the track’s sweeping arrangements.
Founded in 2014, Alien Orchestra exists at the crossroads of metal and film music, inspired by the mysteries of space, Nordic nature, and the resilience of the human soul. Under My Pale Skin was written following Jan’s victorious battle with cancer, a life-altering experience that infused his songwriting with raw emotion, hope, and reflection.
Mixed and mastered by Drop RMX at Downtone Studio and EpicAlien, the four-track EP traverses cinematic sorrow, soaring melodies, and crushing metal power, a journey through pain, recovery, and transcendence.
