Louisville crossover thrash band Belushi Speed Ball are back with their latest single “How Tough Am I?”, a chaotic, tongue-in-cheek ripper pulled from their upcoming fourth album Toxic Waste Was Everywhere In The ’80s, out June 5.
The track arrives alongside a wildly creative music video featuring stop-motion animation by Toni Alarco and Blanca Collado, plus a cameo from cult film legend Lloyd Kaufman, the mastermind behind The Toxic Avenger.

Thrash, Humor, and Pure Chaos
Vocalist Vinny Castellano sums it up best:
“On our journey to ripping off the greatest thrash band of all time, Municipal Waste… we knew we had to get Lloyd Kaufman in the video.”
Blending crossover thrash intensity with absurd humor, the song even nods to SpongeBob SquarePants lore, reimagining the infamous “Salty Spitoon” toughness test in full metal fashion.

A Cult Band Like No Other
Since forming in 2013, Belushi Speed Ball have built a reputation as one of the most unhinged and creative acts in thrash, from Nerf gun war shows to releasing albums on bizarre formats like N64 cartridges and Furby toys.
With influences ranging from Anthrax to GWAR, they toe the line between homage and parody, earning praise from critics like Anthony Fantano.
With “How Tough Am I?” and their upcoming album, Belushi Speed Ball prove once again that nothing is sacred, and everything is fair game in thrash.
