New York hardcore and metal legends Biohazard—Billy Graziadei (vocals/guitar), Evan Seinfeld (vocals/bass), Bobby Hambel (lead guitar), and Danny Schuler (drums)—have unleashed their first new single in over 10 years, Forsaken, released on June 16, 2025, through BLKIIBLK Records, a new imprint of Frontiers Label Group. The track, a mosh-pit igniter debuted during their 2025 European tour, offers a raw taste of their forthcoming album (title and date TBD). Accompanied by an energetic live music video directed by Graziadei and filmed at Amsterdam’s iconic Melkweg venue, Forsaken captures the band’s unrelenting fury and old-school roots.

Forsaken is a 3:36-minute onslaught of pummeling riffs, Graziadei and Seinfeld’s dual vocals, and Hambel’s wah-scorched solo, culminating in a “creepy crawl breakdown” urging listeners to “step to the rhythm of the Brooklyn beat.” Evan Seinfeld reflects, “We shot this video in Amsterdam, at Melkweg, where Biohazard first made our bones in Europe back in the late ‘80s and ‘90s. It’s organic, a sample of the energy of our first new album in 15 years.” Billy Graziadei adds, “What started as three reunion shows of the OG lineup turned into three unstoppable years of kicking ass on stage. Now we’re back with a new record that hits with all the classic Biohazard energy, louder and harder than ever.” Produced, mixed, and mastered by Matt Hyde, the single honors their hardcore-metal fusion while pushing forward. Revolver praises its “Brooklyn beat” intensity, while Consequence calls it a return with “classic Biohazard energy.”
The untitled album, Biohazard’s first since 2012’s Reborn in Defiance, was recorded at Shorefire Recording Studios in Long Branch, New Jersey, starting in December 2024. Graziadei told Reality Check TV in January 2025, “It’s almost done… a great fucking record,” with a hoped-for release before summer 2025, though no firm date is confirmed. The band’s commitment to crafting a cohesive album, as Seinfeld noted in April 2024 to El Planeta Del Rock, reflects their old-school ethos: “For us, it’s not about one song. Making an album is still something we care about.”
Formed in Brooklyn in 1987, Biohazard pioneered the fusion of hardcore punk, heavy metal, and hip-hop, influencing bands like Korn and Limp Bizkit. Albums like Urban Discipline (1992) and State of the World Address (1994) earned critical acclaim for their aggressive sound and socially conscious lyrics. Despite early controversy over misread lyrics, the band—Seinfeld and Schuler are Jewish—denied accusations of racism, framing songs like Master Race as metaphorical provocations. The classic lineup reunited in 2022 after a decade apart, kicking off with sold-out shows and festival headliners, including Milwaukee Metal Fest 2023, where Ghost Cult Magazine lauded their “superhuman set.” Their 2023–2024 tours spanned Download Festival, Megadeth support slots, and South America, cementing their revitalized spirit.
Biohazard are confirmed for Furnace Fest in Birmingham, Alabama, on October 5, 2025, alongside Knocked Loose and Converge. No additional tour dates are announced, but their recent global activity suggests more shows may follow.
