German thrash legends Kreator officially launched their Krushers of the USA 2026 tour in Fort Lauderdale alongside death metal icons Carcass and Florida crossover newcomers Cold Steel. From the moment doors opened, Revolution Live felt different—packed wall-to-wall in a way the venue rarely sees anymore. The energy inside was immediate, fueled by anticipation and reunions, including reconnecting with friends I hadn’t seen in over 17 years. By the end of the night, the tour had already proven itself as one of the strongest extreme metal packages of 2026.

Cold Steel opened the tour with exactly the kind of intensity needed to start a night like this. Their hardcore-influenced crossover sound hit hard from the first riff, immediately pushing the crowd into motion. For a young Florida band, this tour represents a massive opportunity to get in front of audiences across the country, and based on this performance, they’re more than ready for it.
Their latest album, Disciple and Punish, was one of my favorite records of last year, and hearing these songs live only reinforced that. “Blacksmith of Damnation”—the song that first introduced me to the band—set the tone perfectly, followed by sharp, aggressive performances of “Wildfire,” “Bad Beat,” and “Protocol.” By the time they tore through “Full Tilt,” “Killing Season,” and “No Escape,” the crowd was fully engaged, with pits opening across the room. Cold Steel brought raw Florida energy to the stage and left a lasting impression on everyone in attendance.

Carcass delivered exactly what longtime fans hoped for: a precise, crushing set performed with complete confidence and chemistry. Every riff landed with purpose, balancing technical mastery with the raw aggression that has defined the band for decades. The crowd responded immediately with nonstop moshing and crowd surfing throughout the performance.
Opening with “Unfit for Human Consumption,” the band quickly moved through classics like “Buried Dreams,” “Incarnated Solvent Abuse,” and “Genital Grinder,” each one sounding as sharp and punishing as ever. “Dance of Ixtab” brought a darker, atmospheric shift before the set accelerated again with “Exhume to Consume” and “No Love Lost.”
A personal highlight came with “Corporal Jigsore Quandary,” which hit with incredible force live, before the band closed with the undeniable classic “Heartwork.” Carcass continue to operate at an elite level live, delivering a performance that felt both technical and visceral without losing momentum for a second.

Closing the first night of the tour, Kreator reminded everyone why they remain one of thrash metal’s defining live bands. Touring in support of their upcoming album Krushers of the World, out January 16th, 2026, the band delivered a set that perfectly balanced newer material with longtime staples from across their catalog.
Mille Petrozza addressed the crowd early in the set, reflecting on the band’s long history with Florida, mentioning that Kreator has been together since 1985 and first started playing the state back in 1988. That connection was obvious throughout the night, as the audience responded to every song with nonstop movement and shouted lyrics.
The set opened with the new track “Seven Serpents” before moving directly into crowd favorites like “Hail to the Hordes” and “Enemy of God,” complete with the “Coma of Souls” intro. New material such as the title track “Krushers of the World” fit naturally alongside classics like “People of the Lie,” “Betrayer,” and “Phantom Antichrist.”
The final stretch of the set was relentless. “Violent Revolution” and “Pleasure to Kill” turned the venue into complete chaos, closing the night with the kind of intensity only Kreator can deliver. More than four decades into their career, the band continues to perform with the same fire and conviction that made them legends in the first place.
The opening night of Krushers of the USA 2026 delivered everything you could want from a metal tour: rising talent, technical mastery, legendary performances, and a crowd fully committed from start to finish. Cold Steel proved they belong on a stage this size, Carcass delivered a clinic in extreme metal precision, and Kreator showed exactly why they remain one of thrash metal’s most important bands.
If this first night is any indication, this tour is going to leave destruction in its wake across the United States.
