Madison, Wisconsin-based atmospheric post-black metal band Corridoré, formed in 2016, has announced their sophomore full-length album Abandon, set for release on August 22, 2025, via Hypaethral Records. The band, consisting of Matt Allen (guitar, vocals), Eric Andraska (bass, vocals), Nick Bartley (drums), and Russell Emerson Hall (guitar, vocals), blends the weight of post-metal, the aggression of black metal, and the introspective haze of shoegaze, drawing comparisons to Deafheaven, Falls of Rauros, Nothing, and Inter Arma. The lead single, (Become) Carrion, is now streaming on Bandcamp, showcasing a dynamic shift between black metal fury and anthemic post-metal catharsis.

Abandon, a follow-up to their 2019 self-titled debut, features five tracks:
- We Vanish to Nothing
- (Become) Carrion
- This Great Demise
- Lying in Splendor
- Like Moths
The album explores themes of isolation, grief, and resilience, reflecting on letting go of despair and the structures that perpetuate it. Bassist/vocalist Eric Andraska notes that the album, written before and after the pandemic, is their most personal work, addressing feelings of “abandonment” while seeking liberation from torment. Recorded and mixed by Dustin Sisson at Blast House Studios with additional recording by Hall, and mastered by Carl Saff (Saetia, KEN Mode), the album features artwork by Sick of Realism. It will be available on CD (limited to 300), LP (limited to 100 Graphite vinyl), cassette, and digital formats.
