American death metal tribute band Death To All, formed in 2012 to honor Death and Chuck Schuldiner, has announced The Symbolic Healing tour across North America in November 2025, celebrating the 35th anniversary of Spiritual Healing (1990) and the 30th anniversary of Symbolic (1995). Described by Reason as helping “make Florida the epicenter of death metal,” Spiritual Healing marked a technical shift for Death, while Pitchfork calls Symbolic “the most melodic and refined album of their career.”
The tour, featuring Gorguts and Phobophilic, kicks off November 4 in San Diego, CA, at The Observatory North Park and concludes November 30 in San Francisco, CA, at The Regency Ballroom. Drummer Gene Hoglan, who played on Symbolic, says, “The time has come to commemorate a couple of milestones in the Death catalog… 30 years of Symbolic and 35 years of Spiritual Healing! Two vastly different yet very important eras of Death.” The lineup includes Death veterans Steve DiGiorgio (bassist, Human, Individual Thought Patterns), Bobby Koelble (guitarist, Symbolic), and Max Phelps (Exist, ex-Cynic) on guitar and vocals. Gorguts’ Luc Lemay adds, “It’s with great honor that we’ll be sharing the stage with these death metal monuments… Death had such an important influence on me as an artist.”
