Spanish melancholic doom/death metal band Evadne announced their new album, “The Fragile Light of Fireflies”, today, set for release on June 13 via Meuse Music Records. This acoustic is a reimagining of their 2021 album “The Pale Light of Fireflies” (Solitude Productions) The album will be available as a CD Audio Digipack in a 6-panel format with an 8-page booklet.

Formed in 2003 in Valencia, EvadneAlbert Conejero (vocals), Josan Martin (guitar, keys), Jose Quilis (bass), Joean Esmel (drums, vocals), and Marc Chulia (guitar)—has evolved their sound over the years, as seen in releases like “The Shortest Way” (2012) and “A Mother Named Death” (2023). “The Fragile Light of Fireflies” features collaborations with Jaani Peuhu (Ianai, Mercury Circle), Mark Kelson (The Eternal), Novembrine3 (Novembre), Juan Escobar (Astor Voltaires, WoodenVeins), Carline Van Roos (Aythis, Lethian Dreams), and Natalia Drepina (Your Schizophrenia), adding emotional depth. Mixed and mastered by Sergio Peiró at Pentasonic Studios, the album’s delicate chords reflect the fragility of existence, with artwork by Drepina capturing its melancholic essence.

Evadne’s shift to an acoustic format offers a fresh perspective on their signature melancholy, building on their history of emotional, atmospheric metal. Pre-order details are forthcoming—stay tuned to Meuse Music Records for updates and immerse yourself in Evadne’s intimate sonic journey this June.
