Heavy rock/proto-metal band Firmament, formed in 2021 in Leipzig, Germany, premiered the video for Brother of Sleep on August 4, 2025, via the NWOTHM YouTube channel, from their second album For Centuries Alive, set for release on September 19, 2025, via Dying Victims Productions. The previously released A Legend of the Fall at deaf-forever.de. Pre-orders for CD, black vinyl, and dark green vinyl editions are available at dying-victims.de. Recorded in Leipzig, the album features nine tracks, blending influences from Wishbone Ash, Blue Öyster Cult, and Thin Lizzy. The lineup includes Marco Herrmann (vocals), Tom Michalik (guitars), Philipp Meyer (guitars), Stefan Deutsch (bass), and Jonas Zeidler (drums). Firmament have performed at Muskelrock, Starlett Stock, and Trveheim festivals.
