Frozen Soul have officially released their third full-length album, No Place of Warmth, out today via Century Media Records, marking one of their most focused and aggressive statements to date.
Across 11 tightly constructed tracks, the band lean into a refined version of their signature “icy” death metal sound—still brutal, but more deliberate in pacing, hooks, and atmosphere. The record continues their thematic contrast between cold, desolate imagery and a message of persistence through adversity.
“Chaos Will Reign” — focus track & cinematic video
The band also dropped a new video for “Chaos Will Reign,” a direct, high-impact track centered on reaching a breaking point and refusing further control or pressure.
Watch it here:
The video expands their ongoing “cinematic universe,” acting as a prequel to the earlier “Morbid Effigy” visual. The band leaned into a horror/Sci-Fi inspired narrative, including a surreal snow-globe concept reveal and recurring visual motifs like the meat-made snowman introduced in previous videos.
Sound, intent, and direction

Musically, No Place of Warmth is described as a more streamlined and “maximal minimalism” approach—less overthinking, more impact. The band emphasizes:
- Shorter, more focused compositions
- Greater emphasis on riff brutality and memorable leads
- A thematic push toward endurance and resilience in harsh conditions
Despite the cold imagery, vocalist Chad Green frames the record less as nihilism and more as motivation—songs designed to push through real-world pressure rather than retreat from it.
Guest appearances
The album includes several notable collaborations:
- Gerard Way (My Chemical Romance)
- Devin Swank (Sanguisugabogg)
- Robb Flynn (Machine Head)
Despite these appearances, the core identity of Frozen Soul remains central throughout the record.
This release follows:
- Encased in Ice (EP, 2019)
- Crypt of Ice (2021)
- Glacial Domination (2023)
Their trajectory has taken them from underground breakout to consistent touring force, sharing stages with major extreme and modern metal acts while refining a distinct aesthetic built around cold, industrialized death metal imagery.
Frozen Soul are currently on the road in the U.S. alongside Avatar and Fleshgod Apocalypse, continuing a busy touring cycle supporting the new record.
