American hard rock band Halestorm has dropped their new single “Everest,” the title track from their upcoming album, set for release on August 8, 2025, via Atlantic Records. The song, released today, May 30, 2025, comes with a music video directed by DJay Brawner of Tuff Productions, filmed at GoodWood Nashville. The video credits include a crew featuring executive producer Max Rose, DP Matt Hoodhood, production designer Amanda Alberto, and colorist Cameron Marygold of Fairchild Color, among others. The cast includes Desiree Deerman, Johnnie Rourke, and Chris Rainey.

The lyrics of “Everest” delve into themes of struggle, resilience, and relentless pursuit, with lines like “I climb Everest / Knowing it’s life or death / Oh, and my survival is suicidal / This vicious cycle,” and “All my life I’ve had to fight / And I don’t know why I just keep going.” The track captures Halestorm’s signature intensity, blending raw emotion with powerful instrumentation.
Formed in 1997 in Red Lion, Pennsylvania, Halestorm—Lzzy Hale (vocals/guitar), Joe Hottinger (guitar), Josh Smith (bass), and Arejay Hale (drums)—has earned multiple Grammy nominations, winning Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance in 2013 for “Love Bites (So Do I).” Following their 2022 album Back From the Dead, which peaked at #2 on the Billboard Top Hard Rock Albums chart, Everest marks their sixth studio effort.
