Bay Area thrash legends HEATHEN have unveiled their latest single, “Twist of Faith”, continuing their deep dive into the early roots of their members’ musical history.
Originally released in 1992 by Psychosis on the album Lifeforce, the track featured future HEATHEN members Kragen Lum and Jason Mirza. Now reimagined and “Heathenized”, the song delivers a modernized punch while preserving its old-school thrash spirit.
The single arrives alongside the announcement of their upcoming 12” maxi single Never A God, out April 23 via Napalm Records. The release features two tracks: the title cut, originally recorded by Laughing Dead, and “Twist of Faith”.

HEATHEN shared that more new material is already in the works, with over a dozen songs currently in production as they prepare for their next full-length album.
Formed in San Francisco in 1984, HEATHEN helped shape the Bay Area thrash movement with landmark releases like Breaking the Silence (1987) and Victims of Deception (1991). After periods of inactivity, the band remains a powerful force in modern thrash.
The band will support the release with select live dates and a North American tour alongside Metal Church this summer.
