Lorna Shore Drops “Oblivion” and Announces New Album I Feel The Everblack Festering Within Me

New Jersey’s symphonic deathcore band Lorna Shore have dropped their new single “Oblivion,” an 8:19 epic, alongside the announcement of their fifth studio album, I Feel The Everblack Festering Within Me, set for release on September 12, 2025, via Century Media Records. The track, which premiered earlier today, comes with a cinematic music video directed by Dylan Hryciuk of Versa Films, featuring a post-apocalyptic narrative with a cast including Brett Ballendine and Peter Davey. The video’s production credits highlight a robust team, from cinematographer Jeremy Ratzlaff to stunt choreographer Rod Coulter, reflecting the band’s ambitious vision.

“Oblivion” opens with haunting synths before diving into ferocious blast beats by drummer Austin Archey, paired with Will Ramos’ signature vocal acrobatics—gutturals, pig squeals, and dynamic shifts that cement his reputation as a standout in modern deathcore. Guitarists Adam De Micco and Andrew O’Connor deliver a mix of brutal riffs, melodic hooks, and a searing solo, while the track’s climactic breakdown unleashes chaos. Lyrically, Ramos paints a grim picture of humanity’s self-destruction, with lines like “We split the star, fractured the earth, our time has come, oh what have we done,” reflecting on a future where efforts to save a dying world only hasten its demise. He describes the song as inspired by the desolate, dread-filled ‘Miller’s planet’ scene from Interstellar, aiming to capture a serene yet sterile atmosphere that mirrors humanity’s futile struggles.

The album, a follow-up to 2022’s breakout Pain Remains, promises to elevate Lorna Shore’s sound, with Ramos calling “Oblivion” a “culmination of all the things that we’ve done in the past, but brought to the next level; a more evolved version of what Lorna Shore truly is.” Available for pre-order at lornashore.lnk.to/IFTEFWM-AlbumPR, I Feel The Everblack Festering Within Me will come in formats like Ltd. Deluxe Gatefold golden 2LP and Standard CD Jewelcase, alongside merch bundles at the band’s store and Impericon.
