Bay Area metal veterans Machine Head released their new single “BØNESCRAPER” accompanied by an official music video directed by Mike Sloat. The track is the second single from their upcoming eleventh studio album, “UNATØNED”, set to drop on April 25 via Nuclear Blast Records and Imperium Recordings. The band describes the song as one “for those of us with darkness in our heart, a song about love lost, and a song for those who fail at love… but keep on trying,” reflecting themes of emotional struggle and resilience.
Formed in 1991 in Oakland, California, Machine Head—currently Robb Flynn (vocals, guitars), Jared MacEachern (bass, backing vocals), Matt Alston (drums), and Reece Scruggs (guitars)—continues to deliver their signature blend of heavy riffs and melodic depth. “UNATØNED”, featuring 12 tracks including “Landscape Øf Thørns,” “Unbøund,” and “Bønescraper,” marks the recording debut of Scruggs, formerly of Havok. A new Bone with Black & Red “BØNESCRAPER” edition LP, shipping June 17, is now available for pre-order, with all vinyl editions including a 12×12-page matte finish booklet. The album’s production, led by Flynn with engineering by Zack Ohren, promises a sharp, momentum-driven sound.

Machine Head also announced their North American Tour 2025, joined by In Flames, Lacuna Coil, and Unearth, kicking off in Oakland at the Fox Theater and including a stop at Sick New World Festival. The tour aligns with the release of their collaborative track “These Scars Wøn’t Define Us,” featuring all four bands. Stream “BØNESCRAPER” now and pre-order UNATØNED to experience Machine Head’s latest evolution.
