Margantha Unleashes “Curse Of The Full Moon” from Upcoming EP Blood Moon Sacrifice

Italian-Finnish black metal band Margantha has released their new single, “Curse Of The Full Moon,” from their forthcoming EP Blood Moon Sacrifice, due out on June 27, 2025, via Rockshots Records. A teaser video for the single dropped yesterday, May 13, 2025, offering a glimpse into the track’s chilling atmosphere. The full song is available to stream or download on Spotify, Amazon Music, and Apple Music, with the EP available for pre-order at tinyurl.com/4t5z5ww4.

Formed by three musicians—Nocturnus I (vocals/bass), Nocturnus II (guitars), and Nocturnus III (drums)—Margantha fuses Italian and Finnish black metal traditions, drawing inspiration from Mgła, Ensiferum, Behemoth, and 1349. Their sound blends raw aggression with atmospheric and melodic elements, steeped in 19th-century gothic horror aesthetics. The band’s lyrics, inspired by literary writers like Bram Stoker and Mary Shelley, and visual artists like Caravaggio and Bosch, evoke a macabre journey into the supernatural. Their imagery, captured in photos by Francesco Rossi, mirrors classical paintings, enhancing their shadowy narrative.

Tracklist:

  1. Blood Moon Sacrifice
  2. Curse Of The Full Moon
  3. Miriam And The Endless Night
  4. Wolves At The Door

Blood Moon Sacrifice, a four-track concept EP, narrates a legend from singer Nocturnus I’s grandmother about a werewolf haunting a hunters’ village. The story unfolds across “Blood Moon Sacrifice,” “Curse Of The Full Moon,” “Miriam And The Endless Night” (featuring a guitar solo by Andy La Rocque of King Diamond), and “Wolves At The Door.” Mixed and mastered by La Rocque at Sonic Train Studio, with a logo by Rijvartwork, the EP aims to immerse listeners in its dark tale through immediate, memorable song structures. For fans of melodic yet grim black metal like early Behemoth or 1349, this EP promises a haunting experience. Stream “Curse Of The Full Moon” now!
