Onslaught Celebrates 40 Years with Origins of Aggression Double Album

UK thrash metal pioneers Onslaught will release Origins of Aggression on May 23, 2025, via Reigning Phoenix Music, marking the 40th anniversary of their debut Power From Hell. Formed in 1982 by guitarist Nige Rockett and Paul Hill, Onslaught—now featuring Dave Garnett (vocals), Rockett and Wayne Dorman (guitars), Jeff Williams (bass), and James Perry (drums)—has delivered iconic albums like The Force (1986) and Generation Antichrist (2020), cementing their legacy with anthems such as “Metal Forces” and “Killing Peace.”

The double album features 22 tracks: Disc 1 re-records essential early tracks, while Disc 2 covers punk and metal influences like Motörhead’s “Iron Fist,” Dead Kennedys’ “Holiday in Cambodia,” and Black Sabbath’s “War Pigs,” showcasing the roots that shaped Onslaught’s ferocious sound. Known for relentless riffs and global performances in over 70 countries, the band was inducted into the Metal Hall of Fame in 2022.

Onslaught’s 2025 World Tour will promote Origins of Aggression, kicking off a new chapter with more shows and releases to come.
