Milan’s technical thrash death metal band RAWFOIL dropped their second full-length album, Where Malice Converges, on April 14, 2025, via Ad Noctem Records. The 8-track record, including a bonus track, is a fierce exploration of the human psyche’s darkest corners, diving into unspoken fears, anger, and inadequacy. The band describes it as a descent into self-imposed mental states, where feelings of judgment and displacement fuel an inner malice, forcing one to hide behind masks while grappling with a tainted identity.

The album kicks off with “Arrogance,” and features the single “Come What May,” which has a video released on April 14. Tracks like “D-FENS” and “Only The Dead Can’t Be Wrong” showcase RAWFOIL’s signature blend of intricate riffs and aggressive tempo changes, while the bonus track “The Eagle In The Serpent Shadow” adds a haunting close. Recorded, mixed, and mastered by Carlo Altobelli at Toxic Basement Studio in Carate Brianza, the album boasts a modern, incisive production that amplifies its raw energy. The artwork and booklet, crafted by Sheila Franco Art, with a logo by ThePitForge and photos by Hellucination Ph, visually encapsulate the album’s dark themes.
