Silent Tombs Announce Debut Album Mourning Hymns From Beyond, Out October 17 via Personal Records

Mexican doom-death outfit Silent Tombs will release their debut full-length Mourning Hymns From Beyond on October 17 internationally via Personal Records. The CD edition will feature eleven tracks spanning 55 minutes of melancholy, blending funereal tempos.

Formed in 2016 in Colima, Mexico, Silent Tombs draw influence from the early works of Anathema, Paradise Lost, My Dying Bride, as well as Daylight Dies, Swallow the Sun, and labelmates Majestic Downfall. Their sound merges ‘90s/early 2000s doom-death traditions with chaotic, depressive passages that move between infinite misfortune and abyssal darkness.

The band features members active in the Mexican extreme metal scene, including ties to Demonic Manifestation, Ravenous Death, Noxifer, Altumtenebris, and Wolves. After their 2018 EP The Slipping Away of All Hope, lineup shifts led to the current formation:

  • Victor Mercado – Vocals
  • Enrique Martínez – Guitar
  • Arturo Delgado – Guitar
  • Mauricio González – Bass
  • Felipe González – Drums
