Skunk Anansie Drops “Lost And Found” Single and Video

British alt-rock icons Skunk Anansie have unleashed their latest single, “Lost And Found,” paired with a striking music video, out now via FLG Records. Premiered on BBC 6 Music’s Steve Lamacq show on April 7, the track is a soulful preview of their upcoming seventh album, The Painful Truth, set to drop May 23. Known for their genre-defying edge since 1994, the quartet—fronted by the inimitable Skin—delivers a dramatic ballad that opens with her raw, lone vocal before a staccato piano and searing guitars kick in, showcasing their knack for beauty amid chaos.

Directed and scripted by Skin alongside India Fleming, the video—shot in Munich—tells a chilling tale in reverse. Skin splits into dual personas after encountering a demon (drummer Mark Richardson in disguise), with “Lost” Skin appearing bloodied and broken, juxtaposed against “Found” Skin rocking out with the band. “We wanted to capture the loneliness and desperation of a single misstep,” Skin explains. “One moment can unravel everything.”

With Ace’s jagged riffs, Cass’s pulsing bass, and Richardson’s thunderous beats, “Lost And Found” reaffirms Skunk Anansie’s vitality 30 years on. Stream it now wherever you get your music and pre-order The Painful Truth here. This is a band reborn, ready to reclaim their throne.
