Chicago’s long-running blackened melodic death metallers WITHERING SOUL will return this fall with their highly anticipated fifth album, Passage of the Arcane, due out November 14, 2025 on Liminal Dread Productions.

Passage of the Arcane is a convergence of blackened atmospheres, and chilling melodies. Each track represents a passage into cursed lore and haunted histories, from unexplained disappearances to supernatural terrors. The album balances sweeping, cinematic soundscapes with aggressive precision, an evolution of the band’s signature style.
