Worm rise from their abyssal slumber with Necropalace, their first release under Century Media and the long-awaited successor to Foreverglade. Expanding their signature “Necromantic Black Doom” with symphonic music, labyrinthine riffcraft and ‘80s/’90s horror aesthetics, the Floridian cult unveils their most ambitious work yet.
A world of velvet rot, forgotten corridors and blood-stained memory, Necropalace pushes Worm’s gothic vision to new extremes. Phantom Slaughter’s spellbinding vocals and Wroth Septentrion’s shape-shifting compositions guide the listener through a maze where every passage reveals another shadow—and another curse that refuses to die.
The title track arrives with Worm’s first-ever short film, created with director Norman Cabrera (Walking Dead, Fright Night II) and guided by genre legend Ted Nicolaou (TerrorVision, Subspecies). A vivid descent into the band’s dark fantasy mythology, it stands as a statement piece for this new era.
Watch “Necropalace”(Short Film):
Featuring a special appearance by Marty Friedman on the album closer “Witchmoon: The Infernal Masquerade”, Necropalace is an opulent, frostbitten descent into Worm’s vampyric universe, produced by Charlie Koryn and mixed/mastered by Arthur Rizk.
