Technical death metal/deathcore band Wretched, formed in 2005 in Charlotte, North Carolina, premiered their new single Decay on August 6, 2025, via Metal Blade Records’ YouTube channel, with a music video. Stream it at metalblade.com/wretched.
The title track from their fifth album Decay, set for release on October 17, 2025, via Metal Blade Records, introduces Malus, a disembodied soul lost in a void, in a conceptual prequel to 2010’s Beyond The Gate. The album blends haunting melodies, progressive complexity, and raw heaviness, exploring themes of existential dread and personal loss. Wretched will tour with Aether Realm and Paladin (August 7-10, 2025) and join Six Feet Under, Exhorder, and Incite for a U.S. tour (September 21-October 25, 2025).
