South Carolina metal/hardcore band Your Spirit Dies has released their debut album My Gnawing Pains Will Never Rest today, May 2, 2025, via MNRK Heavy. Alongside the 12-track record, they’ve unveiled a video for the single “Born Forsaken,” which vocalist Brandon Byars describes as a reflection on humanity’s destruction of the earth, blending a grim acceptance of inevitable collapse with a sonically chaotic end-of-world depiction.

The album, produced by Greg Thomas, mixed by Thomas and Chris Teti, and mastered by Will Putney, features guest appearances by Dan Weyandt (Zao) on “Serpentine,” Carson Pace (The Callous Daoboys) on “Night Pierces My Bones,” and Blaythe Steuer (No Cure) on “A Snow In Summer.” Drawing from influences like At The Gates, Killswitch Engage, and Godflesh, plus giallo horror aesthetics, the record delivers raw intensity with tracks like “In The Depths Of Grief” and “Unjust God.” It’s available on CD, LP, and digital formats—order at yourspiritdies.ffm.to/mygnawingpainswillneverrest.
