Featuring members of Suffocation, Sanguisugabogg, and Dehumanized, the newly formed death metal band ABLATION will unleash their debut EP, Lethal Abuse, on May 29 via Iron Fortress Records. The release will be available on vinyl, CD, and cassette formats.
ABLATION’s lineup consists of Devin Swank (Sanguisugabogg), Eric Morotti and Derek Boyer (Suffocation), alongside Rich Nagasawa (Dehumanized), marking his long-awaited return to death metal guitar duties.
Formed with a singular mission of sonic eradication, Lethal Abuse delivers six tracks of unrelenting New York death metal. The EP also features two guest appearances from legendary vocalist Frank Mullen, further cementing its ties to the genre’s roots. Stripped of excess and driven by pure aggression, the record is a focused and punishing display of brutality, backed by the collective pedigree of its members.
Dropping Wednesday, April 8, the lead single and title track, “Lethal Abuse,” serves as a vicious introduction to the band. The track wastes no time, delivering a concentrated dose of ferocity that sets the tone for the EP’s uncompromising six-track assault.
Lethal Abuse was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Joe Cincotta (Obituary, Suffocation, Internal Bleeding) at Full Force Studio. The artwork and logo were created by Tannen Fair, with photography by Kamryn Nickdow.
