Arjen Lucassen (Ayreon, Star One) has released a brand-new video for Days of the Knights, taken from his upcoming re-release of the 1993 solo album Pools of Sorrow, Waves of Joy (originally issued under the name Anthony). The album will be reissued on September 12, 2025.
The new track showcases Lucassen’s early Ayreon roots, enriched by guest performances from Zora Cock (Blackbriar) on backing vocals and Troy Donockley (Nightwish) on Uilleann pipes. The lineup also features Koen Herfst (drums) and Jurriaan Westerveld (cello), with Lucassen himself handling lead vocals and most instruments.
The video, created by Dave “Ni-Ni-Ni” Letelier, playfully includes seven Monty Python references hidden throughout for fans to discover.
