Armoured Knight Premiere New Track Guardians of the Stargates Ahead of Debut Album

Chilean speed metallers Armoured Knight have unveiled their latest track, Guardians of the Stargates, exclusively on the New Wave of Traditional Heavy Metal (NWOTHM) YouTube channel. The song marks the second release from their upcoming debut album, The Quest for the Sacred Melody, which will see an international release on October 17 via Dying Victims Productions.

Formed in 2009, Armoured Knight have built their sound on the foundations of classic ‘80s speed metal, drawing inspiration from bands such as Helloween, Savage Grace, Viper, and Pokolgép. After early lineup changes, the band released their debut EP Prophecy of Tomorrow in 2013, establishing a reputation for epic, fast, and melodic metal. Members of the current lineup have also performed in bands like Hellish, Hemisferio, Mortal Whisper, Slicer, Deathsvn, Espada, and ex-Mayhemic.

Following a hiatus in 2014 and a reunion in 2017, Armoured Knight released Ashes of Glory and The Sacred Flame EPs, refining their signature style. The forthcoming full-length, The Quest for the Sacred Melody, features eight tracks across 35 minutes, blending high-speed energy with dynamic melodic leads and a touch of early power metal influence reminiscent of Blind Guardian. Songs like the mid-tempo “Endless Light” showcase the band’s ability to balance heroic and melancholic moods without losing intensity, while the production captures a raw yet vibrant vintage sound.

The album’s tracklist is as follows:

  1. Wielders of Dark Wisdom
  2. Age of Speeches
  3. Endless Light
  4. Forgotten Grace
  5. Run From Here
  6. Oath of the Sacred Melody
  7. Behind the Mask
  8. Guardians of the Stargates

Fans can stream Guardians of the Stargates on NWOTHM’s YouTube channel and catch the previously released Forgotten Grace via Deaf Forever magazine.
