International heavy metal duo Bergfried have released a lyric video for Queen of the Dead, taken from their new album Romantik III, due October 24, 2025, via High Roller Records.

Following 2022’s Romantik I and 2023’s Romantik II, Romantik III marks the final chapter in the band’s trilogy and their first collaboration with High Roller Records. The group is helmed by multi-instrumentalist Erech von Lothringen and vocalist Anna de Savoy, with additional contributions from drummer Fabio Alessandrini (Annihilator, Bonfire, Enforcer), bassist Sam Plekhanov, and guitarist Mat Plekhanov.
Conceptually, Romantik III continues the saga established in the earlier albums, weaving a dramatic narrative of Anna’s descent into hell in search of her lover, facing both God and the Devil while aided by a heavenly messenger. Musically, the album blends classic heavy metal with symphonic and theatrical elements, balancing melancholic atmosphere with accessible, melodic songwriting.
“Romantik III is the last part of this trilogy,” says von Lothringen. “It’s more compact musically and clearer in its expression. While it carries a melancholic tone, there are also tracks with strong pop sensibilities—probably down to my love for Meat Loaf.”
The record was mixed and mastered by Olof Wikstrand at Hvergelmer Studio & Music Production, with artwork by Aaron Lawrance.
