Indigenous black metal force Blackbraid has released the official music video for God of Black Blood, a standout track from the acclaimed new album Blackbraid III, out now. The video, created by visionary artist Costin Chioreanu, is available to watch here:
Following the recent single and video for The Dying Breath of a Sacred Stag (directed by Wolf Mountain Productions), God of Black Blood expands the visual and sonic landscape of Blackbraid III, a record praised for its raw power and evocative atmosphere.
Physical editions of Blackbraid III, including vinyl and cassette formats, along with new merchandise are available now via Blackbraid.US and Blackbraid.EU. The album can be streamed on all major platforms.
Blackbraid will embark on a North American headlining tour from September 19 – October 11, joined by Lamp of Murmuur and Dödsrit (with Gudsforladt filling in for select Canadian dates). Due to overwhelming demand, several shows are sold out, while others—including Baltimore and Boston—have been upgraded or flagged as low ticket warnings.
In spring 2026, Blackbraid will cross the Atlantic for a run of UK and Ireland headline dates from April 9 – 15, supported by Winterfylleth and Noctem.
Alongside the tour and new visuals, Blackbraid is also featured as the cover story of Decibel Magazine’s September 2025 issue, cementing the project’s status as one of extreme metal’s most vital new voices.
Created by Sgah’gahsowáh in the Adirondack wilderness, Blackbraid’s music draws deeply from heritage and nature, resulting in a sound as primal and unrelenting as the landscapes that inspire it.
