Extreme music pioneer Burton C. Bell, best known as the voice of Fear Factory, has released the lyric video for his new solo single “Savages” today, May 30, 2025. Continuing his exploration of dystopian themes, identity, and technology’s dark side, Bell delivers a track that he insists should be played at maximum volume, highlighted by the chilling line, “No one is coming to save you now.” He explained, “The lyrics for ‘Savages’ were not realized until the day after the tumultuous, presidential election,” reflecting on Evangelical Christians’ support.

Bell, who co-created Fear Factory and appeared on every release from 1992 to 2024, left the band in 2020 after years of internal turmoil. His solo career began with 2023’s “Du Hast” cover and 2024’s “Anti-Droid,” which he described as “a statement about breaking free” from the music industry’s constraints. Bell’s discography includes collaborations with Geezer Butler and Deen Castronovo (GZR), Al Jourgensen and Ministry, and guest appearances with Soulfly, Static-X, and Delain. Fear Factory’s Demanufacture (1995) and RIAA gold-certified Obsolete (1998) are genre-defining albums, with Demanufacture inducted into Decibel Magazine’s Hall of Fame.
Bell will tour Australia in June. This follows his 2024 singles “Anti-Droid” and “Technical Exorcism,” with more solo material and live performances planned, including rare tracks from City Of Fire, G/Z/R, and Fear Factory’s deep cuts.
