Candice Night Drops “The Last Goodbye” Video Featuring Ritchie Blackmore

Candice Night released the official music video for her single “The Last Goodbye” featuring her husband, Ritchie Blackmore—legendary guitarist of Deep Purple and Rainbow, and her bandmate in Blackmore’s Night—on guitar.

The song is the second single from Night’s upcoming solo album “Sea Glass”, out April 25 via earMUSIC. Unlike the medieval and Renaissance-inspired sound of Blackmore’s Night, which Night has fronted since 1997, this track leans into a more personal, contemporary style. “The Last Goodbye” explores love and loss with a melody that balances sadness and hope, reflecting Night’s emotional journey through relationships. She produced the album herself, blending rock, country, and acoustic pop across 10 tracks, including “Angel and Jezebel” (in two versions) and a cover of “Nature Boy.” The album also features contributions from her children on “Promise Me,” tying into its themes of family and legacy.

Tracklist:

  1. Sea Glass
  2. Unsung Hero (She’ll Never Tell)
  3. The Line Between
  4. Angel And Jezebel (Rock Version)
  5. Promise Me
  6. Dark Carnival
  7. The Last Goodbye
  8. When I Want To Fly
  9. Another Day
  10. Nature Boy
  11. Angel And Jezebel (Country Version)

Night, born in Hauppauge, New York, in 1971, met Blackmore in 1989 while working at a radio station. They started living together in 1991, bonding over a shared love for Renaissance music, which led to Blackmore’s Night. She’s been the voice and lyricist of the band for 27 years, playing instruments like the shawm and rauschpfeife, while also contributing to Rainbow’s 1995 album “Stranger in Us All”. Her solo work, starting with 2011’s Reflections, marks a shift from the fantasy elements of Blackmore’s Night to a more self-expression.

“Sea Glass” is available for pre-order on CD Digipak, limited LP (including a green vinyl variant), and digital. Night will support the release with U.S. shows in April and May, including stops in Greenwich, RI, on April 10 and Red Bank, NJ, on April 27.
