US/Canadian heavy doom trio CASTLE have released the official video for their new single, “3 Knocks.” The haunted rocker is the fourth and final single from the band’s upcoming album, Carrie Chains, due September 4th via Hammerheart Records.
Filmed in Toronto during CASTLE’s Canadian tour earlier this year, the “3 Knocks” video reunites the band with longtime friend and director Jaan Silmberg, whose credits include Super Duper Alice Cooper, Death By Metal, and the upcoming Voivod documentary. Silmberg also directed CASTLE’s recent video for the quasi-title track, “Carry Chains.”
Guitarist Mat Davis comments:
“3 Knocks is a classic throwback Castle song; a combination of majestic riffs and a driving haunted vocal from Liz. We were inspired by equal parts Sabbath and Mercyful Fate and came up with this crunchy rocker… it’s like the doomed heartbeat of the new record — it screams to be cranked, so what are you waiting for?!”

Carrie Chains finds CASTLE pushing their trademark serpentine riffs into powerful, anthemic hooks, driven by the whiskey-throated vocals of Liz Blackwell. Drawing inspiration from riff-heavy ‘70s and ‘80s heavy metal pioneers such as Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, and Mercyful Fate, the trio maintains a stripped-down attack while channeling that classic metal DNA into something distinctly their own.
Preorders are available in limited-edition and band-exclusive vinyl configurations, alongside a special two-CD longbox edition featuring CASTLE’s all-covers album Double Vision. Originally issued last year exclusively on vinyl through the band’s Black Wren Records imprint, Double Vision joins Carrie Chains in the expanded package. Standard digipak and digital editions will also be available.
