American epic doom metal band Crypt Sermon, formed in 2013 in Philadelphia, has released their new single A Fool to Believe from their upcoming EP Saturnian Appendices, out August 8, 2025, via Dark Descent Records. The track, streaming as of July 29, 2025, delves into the shadowed psyche of The Stygian Rose’s narrator, exploring tensions between orthodoxy and occult. “It’s a darker, more introspective lens,” says vocalist Brooks Wilson.

Stream at linktr.ee/cryptsermon and pre-order on CD or vinyl at darkdescentrecords.com/shop. Featuring Brooks Wilson (vocals), Steve Jansson (lead guitar), Frank Chin (rhythm guitar), Matt Knox (bass), Tanner Anderson (synths), and Enrique Sagarnaga (drums), the EP’s three original tracks and a reimagined Mayhem cover, De Mysteriis Doom Sathanas, deliver grandiose melodies and monolithic riffs, evoking Candlemass and Solitude Aeturnus.
