Swedish black metal veterans DARK FUNERAL have announced the release of their long-awaited live album, A Beast To Praise, arriving August 21 via Century Media Records.
Recorded at Stockholm’s Fållan in 2022, the 13-track live release documents the band’s triumphant return to the stage following the pandemic era and captures the ferocious energy of the touring cycle behind their acclaimed 2022 album We Are The Apocalypse. Spanning nearly 70 minutes, the album serves as both a celebration of that chapter and a bridge toward the band’s next creative phase.
To mark the announcement, DARK FUNERAL have unveiled a live video for “The Arrival Of Satan’s Empire,” offering fans a first glimpse of the upcoming release.
Founding guitarist Lord Ahriman reflected on the significance of the performance:
“That night at Fållan was intense in every possible way. The energy in the room, the fire, the audience and the atmosphere all came together into something far beyond an ordinary concert. This release is the immortal document of that night.”
Ahriman also confirmed that while A Beast To Praise closes the We Are The Apocalypse era, the band is already working on new material for its next studio album, currently planned for release in 2027.

Upcoming Live Dates
Before embarking on their largest European run of the year, DARK FUNERAL will appear at festivals including Party.San Open Air, Posada Rock, and Hellhammer Festival.
The band will then join fellow extreme metal heavyweights BEHEMOTH and Dimmu Borgir for the massive “In League With Satan” European tour throughout October 2026, bringing one of the strongest black metal lineups of the year to venues across Europe.
