Swedish black metal veterans DARK FUNERAL have released their new live album, A Beast To Praise, out now via Century Media Records. Coinciding with the album’s arrival, the band have also unveiled a live video for “Nail Them To The Cross (Live in Stockholm).”
Recorded at Fållan in Stockholm in 2022, A Beast To Praise captures DARK FUNERAL performing in support of their acclaimed seventh studio album, We Are The Apocalypse. The 13-track, nearly 70-minute live release documents the band’s return to the stage following the pandemic and features material spanning their catalog, including “My Funeral,” “Vobiscum Satanas,” “The Secrets Of The Black Arts,” “Where Shadows Forever Reign,” and “Nail Them To The Cross.”
Guitarist and founding member Lord Ahriman reflects on the significance of the performance:
“‘A Beast To Praise’ (Live at Fållan, Stockholm) captures a very important moment in the history of DARK FUNERAL — not only the live release ritual for ‘We Are The Apocalypse,’ but also our return to the stage after years of silence during the pandemic. That night at Fållan was intense in every possible way. The energy in the room, the fire, the audience, and the atmosphere all came together into something far beyond an ordinary concert.”
Ahriman adds that the live album and the band’s upcoming European touring cycle will officially close the We Are The Apocalypse era, while DARK FUNERAL are already working toward their next chapter.
“At the same time, we are already deeply focused on the next era of DARK FUNERAL and hard at work creating new material for what will become our next studio album, planned for release in 2027. And as one chapter closes, a new one is already taking shape — bigger, darker, and more epic than ever before…”

DARK FUNERAL will return to the road this October for the “In League With Satan” European tour alongside BEHEMOTH and DIMMU BORGIR. The run begins October 9 in Zurich, Switzerland and concludes October 30 in Copenhagen, Denmark, with stops throughout Germany, Italy, France, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Czech Republic, Finland, and Sweden.
The band also has festival appearances scheduled for 2027, including Summer Breeze Open Air in Germany and Motocultor Festival in France.
