Swedish symphonic metallers ELEINE have released their new single “Ich Sehe Dich,” the latest track from their upcoming fifth studio album, The Water Taste Of Blood, arriving December 4 via Algoth Records / Sound Pollution.
Accompanied by a new music video, “Ich Sehe Dich” takes a more direct approach than the album’s previous singles, confronting manipulation, lies, and toxic shame head-on. Melodic verses gradually build tension before giving way to heavier, chugging riffs and the song’s three-word German refrain: “Ich Sehe Dich” — “I see you.”
The band explains:
“Have you ever wanted to say ‘I see you’ straight to the face of someone who tries to hurt you, or others, through spreading lies? ‘Ich Sehe Dich’ is about that exact moment. Yet again, another chorus of ours felt so natural to have in another language. The words fell perfectly into place and emphasizes the heaviness of the message within the song.”
The track follows ELEINE’s previous singles from The Water Taste Of Blood, which have explored themes of betrayal, collapsing empires of lies, and the consequences left behind.
Led by vocalist Madeleine Liljestam and guitarist/vocalist Rikard Ekberg, ELEINE have continued expanding their international audience through a combination of headline tours and appearances alongside bands including ARCH ENEMY, KAMELOT, PAIN, SONATA ARCTICA, and W.A.S.P.
The band is currently embarking on its largest European and UK headline tour to date, consisting of 31 shows across 13 countries. The run will conclude with an album release show at Mejeriet in Lund, Sweden, on December 5.
