EPICA Unveil New Single “Avatar – The Final Incarnation -” Ahead of European Tour

Symphonic metal band EPICA have unveiled their powerful new single “Avatar – The Final Incarnation -“, released in support of their upcoming European tour. The track explores the concept of the final avatar who rises to cleanse the world of unrighteousness and restore truth and purity. The single arrives alongside a striking visualizer featuring artwork taken directly from the band’s forthcoming EPICA Oracle Card Set, set for worldwide release on January 7.

The song was created by Dave Letelier and can be streamed now, with the accompanying visualizer available to watch online.

Guitarist and vocalist Mark Jansen explains the philosophical inspiration behind the track:

“In Hindu philosophy, Kalki represents the final avatar who restores balance at the end of the age. That idea of breaking free from cycles through self-realization, detachment from desires, and inner transformation resonates deeply with me. ‘Avatar’ channels that journey toward liberation, something both powerful and universal.”

Vocalist Simone Simons adds:

“We absolutely can’t wait to kick off the European tour. Sharing the stage with our incredible fans night after night is the heartbeat of what we do, and this new song will definitely warm you up for the journey we’re about to take together.”

From January through March, EPICA will take the road for “The Arcane Dimensions” European Tour alongside Amaranthe and Charlotte WesselsThe Obsession. The tour brings together three of the genre’s most dynamic acts for a powerful live experience across the continent.

In addition to the new single, EPICA will release the “Aspiral Oracle” deluxe box set on January 7. The collection includes a 12-card oracle deck with one card per song title plus an additional artist card titled “The Map”, a detailed handbook with a full ruleset, and a custom incense holder. All elements were designed and sculpted by Hedi Xandt, who also created the artwork for “Aspiral”. The box set offers deeper insight into the themes behind the songs while also serving as a reflective tool for personal exploration.

Tickets and VIP upgrades for the Arcane Dimensions Tour are available now via EPICA’s official website epica.nl/tour
