U.S. alternative metal/industrial duo ESOTERIK have unveiled their new single, “No Absolutes,” a powerful fusion of crushing riffs, industrial rhythms, and atmospheric electronics that explores the complexities of identity, duality, and self-acceptance.
Following the release of “Cycles,” which examined the repetitive patterns of human behavior, “No Absolutes” pushes the band’s evolving narrative further by rejecting rigid moral binaries and embracing the contradictions that define the human experience. The song encourages listeners to move beyond perfectionism and recognize strength in imperfection.
At the heart of the track is vocalist Allison Eckfeldt, whose performance shifts effortlessly between haunting, intimate passages and explosive, commanding choruses. Her dynamic delivery reflects the song’s central message—that the different facets of the self are not meant to be defeated, but integrated.
Musically, ESOTERIK crafted “No Absolutes” to balance crushing heaviness with precision and clarity. The band utilized a Mesa Boogie Mark V amplifier to maintain strong mid-range definition while complementing the song’s dense electronic foundation. With “No Absolutes,” ESOTERIK continue building anticipation for their forthcoming album Nü Skin, which marks the duo’s official transition into the metal genre after years of blending dark electronic elements with alternative rock.
