Italian progressive power metal band NOVERIA have released “The Viper’s Nest,” the second single from their forthcoming fifth studio album, Becoming After, which is scheduled for release on August 21 via Scarlet Records.
Described as a dark and aggressive modern metal anthem, “The Viper’s Nest” explores themes of betrayal, resilience, and revenge. The track combines the journey of overcoming manipulation and reclaiming personal strength.
Produced, mixed, and mastered by guitarist Francesco Mattei at Underworld Studio, Becoming After continues NOVERIA’s signature fusion of progressive power metal, modern heaviness, and orchestral grandeur while venturing into darker and more emotional territory.
The album features several notable guest musicians, including legendary pianist and composer Mike Moran, known for his work with FREDDIE MERCURY and OZZY OSBOURNE, who appears on “Through Your Light.” Keyboardist Mistheria (BRUCE DICKINSON, Vivaldi Metal Project) contributes to “Cold Flames,” while violinist Abigail Stahlschmidt and cellist Luca Basile perform the album’s live string arrangements.
Artwork for Becoming After was created by Paolo Conte and Bianca Gambrioli. The album will be available as a digipak CD and on digital platforms.

In support of the new release, NOVERIA are also scheduled to perform at ProgPower USA 2026.
