Gore metal veterans EXHUMED are back with blood on the pavement. The band will release their brand-new album Red Asphalt on February 20, 2026, via Relapse Records, and have kicked things into high gear with the release of the first single and video, “Unsafe At Any Speed”.

With Red Asphalt, EXHUMED deliver one of the most frantic and unhinged releases of their career. The album crashes the band’s trademark high-speed deathgrind into whiplash-inducing grooves and dangerous musical curves, forming a grisly love letter to life on the road. From horrific accidents and vehicular homicide to defective machines, gore-soaked safety films, and undead biker gangs, the album explores the dark side of the American roadway in full technicolor splatter.
EXHUMED mastermind Matt Harvey explains the concept behind the record:

To support the release, EXHUMED will take Red Asphalt on the road throughout 2026. The band kicks off a U.S. tour with Oxygen Destroyer and No/Más from February 19 through March 21, followed by a European and UK run this spring with labelmates Gruesome from April 4 through May 2.
