Italian power metal band FROZEN CROWN has unveiled its brand-new single, “The One,” the first taste of the band’s upcoming sixth studio album, The Legend of the Six Kings, set for release on October 2, 2026 via Napalm Records.
Accompanied by an official music video, “The One” introduces a darker and more narrative-driven chapter for the band. Drawing inspiration from J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings, the track combines soaring melodies, powerful riffs, and grand choruses while exploring themes of power, destiny, and corruption.
According to vocalist Giada “Jade” Etro, the song represents a new beginning for FROZEN CROWN, showcasing the band’s darker side. The visual concept expands the group’s fantasy universe through the creative work of video director Raoul Noise and prop designer Daria Gislon, blending Tolkien-inspired aesthetics with the fantasy atmosphere associated with Robert E. Howard.
The Legend of the Six Kings continues the storyline introduced on the band’s 2018 debut album, The Fallen King. Featuring ten new tracks, the album embraces a heavier and more mature approach while maintaining the signature sound that has earned the Italian sextet a devoted international following. The record highlights the collective strength of the band’s current lineup and explores a wide range of influences, from traditional power metal and speed metal to symphonic and melodic death metal elements.
Among the album’s highlights are the battle-ready opener “Lightning in the Sky,” the choir-driven anthem “Who Wants to Burn in Heaven,” the uplifting “Reborn,” and the epic title track “The Legend of the Six Kings.” The album also includes a power metal reinterpretation of the Goo Goo Dolls classic “Iris,” transforming the 1998 hit into a dramatic and energetic metal anthem.
The release further showcases the evolving songwriting partnership between Jade Etro, drummer Niso Tomasini, and band mastermind Federico Mondelli, while introducing new guitarist Aleksandra Stamenkovic, whose lead work adds an additional layer of intensity to the band’s sound.
The Legend of the Six Kings will be available in multiple formats, including limited-edition vinyl variants, CD editions, digital formats, and a strictly limited wooden box set featuring bonus collectibles.
FROZEN CROWN will support the album with extensive touring throughout North America and Europe later this year. The band will join Kamelot and Visions of Atlantis across North America beginning August 28 in Orlando, Florida, before heading to Europe in support of Beast in Black and Sonata Arctica starting October 26 in London.
