Norwegian Grammy-winning esoteric metal band Gaahls Wyrd has made their second full-length album, Braiding the Stories, available for streaming, via Season of Mist. The album, set for official release tomorrow, June 6, 2025, follows their 2019 debut GastiR – Ghosts Invited and 2021 EP The Humming Mountain. Spanning nine tracks over 42 minutes, including previously released singles “Braiding the Stories,” “Time and Timeless Timeline,” and “And the Now,” the album explores dream states and the subconscious, blending ritualistic and cinematic elements. Frontman Kristian “Gaahl” Espedal describes it as a journey to the “White Lodge,” aiming for listeners to fully immerse themselves, stating, “I always work with the subconscious… I wanted the listener to fall into the album.”
