Power metal heroes GLORYHAMMER have released their new single, “Starfighters of Leuchars,” accompanied by an animated music video. The track arrives ahead of the band’s fifth studio album, Space 1993: Wrath of Kor-Virliath, scheduled for release on October 16, 2026, via Napalm Records.
“Starfighters of Leuchars” introduces the ace pilots who join Angus McFife V on his quest to save the universe. Combining soaring orchestration, powerful riffs, and the band’s signature theatrical storytelling, the single offers another glimpse into the intergalactic adventure awaiting listeners.
Commenting on the track, GLORYHAMMER declare:
“Mighty warriors! Set H-foils to attack position. You may Hoot when ready.”
A new chapter in the GLORYHAMMER saga
Space 1993: Wrath of Kor-Virliath serves as a direct sequel to the band’s 2015 album Space 1992: Rise of the Chaos Wizards, continuing the saga of the McFife dynasty.
The story follows Angus McFife V, Crown Prince of Fife, as he travels across spacetime into the distant future of 1993, confronting new threats to the Intergalactic Empire of Fife.
Featuring 11 tracks, the album expands GLORYHAMMER’s musical approach with elements of classic power metal, thrash, synth rock, and cinematic orchestration. Produced by the band and mixed by Jacob Hansen (VOLBEAT, AMARANTHE), the record promises another ambitious chapter in their fantasy universe.
Speaking about the upcoming release, the band states:
“Mighty warriors, rejoice! The almighty GLORYHAMMER return triumphantly with a new chapter in the long and tumultuous history of the Intergalactic Empire of Fife. Multidimensional wormholes, abandoned space stations, and EPIC BATTLES await at the final frontier of Space 1993. FOR THE ETERNAL GLORY OF DUNDEE!”
