Connecticut hardcore metal band HATEBREED have released the official music video for “Decisions Become Destinies,” the latest single from their upcoming ninth studio album, Fatal Paradox, scheduled for release on November 6, 2026, through BLKIIBLK.
The new track arrives just one day before the album’s release and follows previously unveiled material, including “Kill Count Increase,” “The Carrion Choir,” and the title track.
Beginning with a prominent bass line, “Decisions Become Destinies” develops into an aggressive combination of heavy guitar riffs, driving percussion, and the breakdowns that have defined HATEBREED‘s sound throughout their career.
The band describes the song as one of the most personal compositions on the new record.
“On the cusp of the new Hatebreed album, Fatal Paradox, coming out, we’re excited to drop one of the most personal songs on the album, ‘Decisions Become Destinies.’ It sums up where HATEBREED is as we’re about to come back hard for this next chapter!”
Fatal Paradox marks the band’s ninth studio album
The upcoming record follows 2020’s Weight of the False Self and represents HATEBREED‘s first full-length release through BLKIIBLK.
For the album, the band reunited with longtime collaborator Zeuss, whose production credits include ROB ZOMBIE, ACCEPT, and SHADOWS FALL.
Across eleven tracks, Fatal Paradox incorporates elements of metallic hardcore, thrash metal, and crossover, maintaining the aggressive instrumentation and rhythmic breakdowns associated with the band’s earlier recordings.
“Kill Count Increase” emphasizes faster tempos and thrash-influenced guitar work, while “The Carrion Choir” and “Truth Is A Lion” draw more directly from traditional hardcore.
Other compositions, including “Total Invincible,” explore the crossover elements of the band’s sound.
The album also features a guest appearance by John Tardy of OBITUARY on “Sacrifice Season.”
Throughout their career, HATEBREED have frequently addressed themes of perseverance, personal responsibility, and overcoming adversity. These subjects remain central to the band’s musical identity as they prepare to release their first studio album in six years.

Three decades of metallic hardcore
Formed in Connecticut, HATEBREED emerged during the 1990s with releases including Under the Knife (1996) and Satisfaction Is the Death of Desire (1997).
Their subsequent albums, Perseverance (2002), The Rise of Brutality (2003), and Supremacy (2006), helped establish the band’s combination of hardcore punk and metal influences.
More recent releases include The Concrete Confessional (2016) and Weight of the False Self (2020).
With Fatal Paradox, HATEBREED continue their established approach to metallic hardcore while incorporating elements of thrash and crossover into their latest material.
