Formed in 2009 in Jacksonville, FL, Hollow Leg—Scott Angelacos (vocals), Brent Lynch (guitars/backing vocals), Tom Crowther (bass), John Stewart (drums)—deliver a swampy mix of sludge, doom, and hard rock. With ties to Bloodlet and Junior Bruce, they’ve played Psycho Las Vegas and Maryland Doom Fest. Their discography includes Instinct (2010), Abysmal (2013), Crown (2016), and Civilizations (2019). Dust and Echoes is their heaviest, most varied release.

Not to be confused with the New York indie-folk band, Tampa’s Florist is a doom/stoner metal band formed in 2021 with Frankie Consoli (vocals/guitar), Kevin Roy (bass), Jeremy Dillow (Synthesizers, Theremin, Samples), and Mike Amador (drums). Their 2023 debut Contact blends punk, stoner, and post-metal, earning praise for its “manic, spacebound” energy, likened to Torche. They’re a rising force in Florida’s heavy scene, complementing Hollow Leg’s groove-heavy sound.
