New Orleans sludge metal legends Crowbar and Eyehategod are teaming up for a co-headlining US tour this August, kicking off on the 8th at Brass Mug in Tampa, FL, and wrapping up on the 30th at Southport Hall in their hometown of New Orleans, LA.
Announced today, May 27, 2025, the tour will see the bands alternating headlining slots each night, delivering a heavy dose of NOLA riffery across the East Coast, Midwest, and South. Eyehategod shared their excitement: “You asked for it…this August we hit the road with New Orleans family Crowbar! Witness this devastating display of New Orleans riffery blazing up the East Coast this Summer!”
The 22-date trek includes stops like August 14 in New York City, NY, on the Rocks Off Concert Cruise (Eyehategod headlines), and August 17 in Boston, MA, at Brighton Music Hall (Crowbar headlines). Florida fans can catch them on August 8 in Tampa and August 9 in West Palm Beach. Tickets are available now with the presale code NOLA25, as noted in the announcement. Both bands, pivotal in shaping the NOLA sludge sound since the late ‘80s, promise full sets of crushing classics. Crowbar’s latest album, Zero And Below (2022), and Eyehategod’s A History of Nomadic Behavior (2021) showcase their enduring heaviness, though Eyehategod’s Mike IX Williams hinted in a 2024 interview with Heavy magazine that new material is in the works but not yet fully formed.
