Pacific Northwest black metal band Hulder has officially signed to Season of Mist in a new partnership with longtime label 20 Buck Spin.
Since emerging in 2018 with the Ascending the Raven Stone demo, Hulder has carved out a reputation as one of the most uncompromising voices in modern black metal. Blending raw aggression with pagan folk elements and eerie symphonic layers, the project broke through with Godslastering: Hymns of a Forlorn Peasantry and continued its ascent with 2022’s The Eternal Fanfare.
Hulder’s momentum only intensified with Verses in Oath, a 2024 release steeped in ancient melancholy and unrelenting ferocity—further cementing the project’s place among the underground elite.
The project, led by the Belgian-born musician Hulder and now based in the Pacific Northwest, has grown from a solitary garage endeavor into a formidable live act with a distinct and unwavering artistic vision.
