Los Angeles progressive power metal artist IN VIRTUE has released the striking new music video for “Karma Loop”, featuring guest vocals from Charlotte Wessels (ex-Delain). The track appears on the band’s brand-new concept album Age of Legends, out now as of November 21st.

“Karma Loop” was the final song written for the album and quickly became a band favorite. A dynamic dialogue between Sisyphus and a guiding figure known as The Catalyst, the track explores the idea that punishment is often self-created, and that redemption begins with self-worth. Built from an old guitar lick Trey wrote years ago, the song took shape through collaboration across the band — including former drummer Mazen Ayoub, guitarist Rami Khalaf, and keyboardist Alex Nasla, resulting in one of the most emotionally charged cuts on the record.
Subtle lyrical nods to the Kingston Trio’s “M.T.A.” and Hunter S. Thompson’s iconic “Buy the ticket, take the ride” add unique flavor to its themes of cycles, consequence, and liberation.
Ages of Legends is a fully realized narrative album inspired by the myth of Sisyphus, echoing themes of guilt, rebirth, self-forgiveness, and the pursuit of redemption. For frontman Trey Xavier, the story mirrors a deeply personal journey:
“This is a day 10+ years in the making — the album that almost wasn’t. Born from pure force of will, it’s a direct feed from my soul.”
Musically, the album blends groove-heavy riffs, soaring vocals, melodic hooks, and cinematic orchestration. Guest appearances from Dave Davidson (Revocation), Chaney Crabb (Entheos), and Charlotte Wessels bring additional firepower, while artwork by Niklas Sundin (ex-Dark Tranquillity) depicts Sisyphus breaking free from eternal torment, perfectly capturing its themes of transformation.
