Florida death-thrash band Intoxicated have dropped a new video for “Carved in Stone”, taken from their latest full-length The Dome, out now via Redefining Darkness Records.
Lyrically, the track takes aim at unchecked power and corruption. Vocalist/guitarist Erik Payne explains:
“‘Carved in Stone’ is written for the sickening elites—the ones that have gone unchecked and how they should be petrified of their demise.”
Originally formed in 1993 in Altamonte Springs, Florida, INTOXICATED emerged from the same fertile scene that produced legends like Death and Obituary. Early on, the band received mentorship from Chuck Schuldiner, helping shape their aggressive blend of thrash and death metal.
After a hiatus that saw members touring extensively with Andrew W.K., the band returned in 2019 and have since reestablished themselves with a renewed intensity. The Dome continues that trajectory, delivering ten tracks of relentless speed, rooted in Florida’s extreme metal tradition.
Produced by Erik Payne and Ryan Boesch at Candor Recording in Tampa, the album clocks in at a lean and aggressive 27 minutes—pure, unfiltered death-thrash.
