Memento Mori, in alliance with Grindhead Records and Primitive Moth, has announced the release of Malignant Aura’s second full-length album, Where All of Worth Comes to Wither. Memento Mori will issue the CD edition on January 26, 2026, with vinyl versions arriving in mid-February from Grindhead Records and Primitive Moth.
Emerging from the Australian underground in 2022, Malignant Aura quickly earned acclaim for their debut album Abysmal Misfortune is Draped Upon Me.
Now, the band prepares to descend even deeper with their new offering, Where All of Worth Comes to Wither.
The album is a bleak and immersive fusion of doom and death metal, marked by towering compositions that move through crushing weight, mournful atmosphere, and grim triumph. True to its title, Where All of Worth Comes to Wither expands the vision of its predecessor while sharpening the songwriting into an even more focused and devastating form. Clocking in at 46 minutes across five tracks, the record tightens the band’s approach without sacrificing the vast, oppressive scope of their sound.
Malignant Aura’s tortured and deliberate doom-death draws from a wide lineage, channeling influences ranging from Incantation and Paradise Lost to Hooded Menace, Candlemass, Disembowelment, Asphyx, Virgin Black, Pallbearer, Mournful Congregation, Katatonia, and My Dying Bride. Each of the album’s five sprawling tracks winds through shifting corridors of despair, creating a listening experience that is both suffocating and enthralling.
The striking cover artwork by Paolo Girardi perfectly reflects the album’s oppressive mood and emotional depth. With Where All of Worth Comes to Wither, Malignant Aura invite listeners back into their shadowed domain.
