MASTODON have announced their new studio album, Marrow Deep, which is set to mark a significant new chapter in the band’s career. The album follows the tragic accidental death of founding guitarist Brent Hinds in the summer of 2025 and will be the first MASTODON record created without one of the band’s founding members.
Despite the heartbreaking loss, the Atlanta progressive metal veterans chose to move forward together, channeling their grief into new music. Marrow Deep is now available for pre-order.
Bassist and vocalist Troy Sanders reflected on the band’s renewed sense of purpose:
“Bill, Brann, and myself are thrilled that we still have the opportunity to do this, and we’ve got other members who are just over the moon to be in the band with us. That’s a magical feeling that makes us keep wanting to go to band practice. It’s reminiscent of the very beginning of our band, where all members are hungry, we’re united, and excited to get to work. And we’re thrilled to have the opportunity to do this record.”
Following the release of the first single, “Your Ghost Again,” earlier this year, MASTODON have now unveiled a second preview of the album with “Snakes For Dinner.”
