Tampa’s hardcore/sludge nihilists Meatwound have unleashed “Europa,” the latest single from their fourth LP, Macho, set for release on May 9, 2025, via Threat Collection Records, the new label from producer Ryan Boesch (Whores, Melvins). Stream “Europa” at meatwound.bandcamp.com, where “Frank Stallone” and “Mount Vermin” are also available. Vocalist Daniel Wallace calls it a “traditional” Meatwound track, reminiscent of Largo (2017) and Culero (2019), but refined after years of demos and vocal struggles. “The rhythm threw me off for three years,” he admits, noting its “historical” lyrics skewering missionaries and conquistadors.

Recorded at Candor Recording Studio by Boesch, Macho—featuring Ari Barros (guitar), Mariano Iglesias (bass/programming), Dimitri Stoyanov (drums), and Wallace—marks a decade since their raw 2015 debut Addio. The album, available on limited 180-gram pink vinyl and digital via Pax Aeternum, showcases layered noise and ambitious structures. Pre-order at threatcollection.com. A unique Macho scented candle, handcrafted with soy wax and bold fragrance, is also available—check the commercial at meatwound.com.
